2019 UBC Vancouver Summer Program

The 2019 UBC Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) is a 4-week academic program where students will be studying 2 academic courses taught by members of the UBC faculty. They will have the opportunity to participate in guided laboratory exercises, socio-cultural activities on campus, and explore the city of Vancouver. English proficiency test scores are not required to register, but students should be proficient in English and have a strong academic background. They should also meet their university’s system of application and eligibility requirements (if any) for studying abroad and possess the personal maturity to undertake an international experience. If possible, we would be grateful if universities could help by sending us the registration form for their students or students are welcome to register directly with us as individuals. For individual applications, we would require students to use their university email address (e.g. example.student@cccu.edu.ca). Academic credits for the courses may be granted by the students’ home university at its discretion.

In the case where there are a large number of participants from the home university, you are welcome to send a chaperone or administrator with every 24 students. The chaperone will be provided with accommodation, medical insurance, airport pick-up, and is welcome to participate in the social activities offered in the program, given that the Faculty Coordinator is informed in advance and there are seats available.
